To me CRI means only 2 words =
incandescent & Nichia!!!

Huge No to Cree LEDs!!!!

I take your point, but the 90 CRI, 4000K Cree XHP50 in the Malkoff Wildcat is superb. No Cree rainbow on this one.

But somewhat surprisingly, the slightly pinkish/magenta beam is unlike any other I've seen anywhere else and is quite pleasant.

Have you used a Nichia 219B? I think that's what's in the Beta QR. They're known for being slightly pink. The sw45k version is significantly pink, but hasn't been used in a production light that I know of.
