What's the capacity of the Surefire SF123A lithium batteries, in mAh?

IIRC, it's about 1300mAh, but I don't know at what load. I suspect to get full, advertised, capacity, a one amp load would be about maximum.

Hmm.. if you guys have SF batteries, why not find out?

Put some kind of a resistive load on it, measure current and voltage with a DMM. Or maybe even make that resistive load a Surefire lamp, that way you'd get accurate mAH ratings where it counts.

Note that mAH ratings CAN change depending on the load and the drain. Certain battery manufacturers quote very high mAH numbers for their alkalines, but they do let you know that these were measured under very light loads. Under heavy loads the available mAH drops. Measuring at 1 amp drain (P60, P90) would be a good idea to get useable numbers.

Capacity is dependent on load. Nominal 123 capacity is 1300mAH but that's probably for moderate current drains. Manufacturers now shy from mAH and instead rely on energy delivered. Look at Duracell and Energizer data sheet on 123's and you'll see what I mean.
