would you get cancer if your whole house smells like the inside of a lithium flashlight?

I think this would be the perfect case study.

$700 billion? That's enough to employ 7 million scientists for a year (at 100K each) to search for a cure for cancer.

It's enough to employ 15 million entry level teachers, or 5 million college professors. Yes, college professors are paid that well.

700 B is 7 times the number of people who have ever lived (given some broad guesses there have been 106,456,367,669 people born so far) cite

$700B is enough to buy TWICE as many new cars as were bought in 2006 at $28,400 each.

Sigh.

That's a big number.

When I bought a disk drive for my Radio Shack Color Computer eons ago each floppy holds ~150 thousand bytes.
The early Macs have floppies holding 400 thousand, then 800 thousand, them 1.44 million bytes.
The early hard drives were 20 then 40 million bytes.
Hard drive sizes have been growing ever since.
The iMac I bought last year came with 320 billion bytes of memory storage.
I am rapidly running out of HDD space and am saving for an external drive of at least 1 trillion bytes. 700 billion bytes will not be enough.

For those of us saving $70-$150 for our next light, $700B is hard to fathom. But change the unit to something small and 700B is not that big.
