How to distinguish between LSH-P and LSH-S

Hey everyone,

I just received my LSH-P. At least that's what I ordered. How can I tell if it's a Premium or non-premium? On the bezel, I have LSH-S written on it. When I shine the light, it's definately HD pattern, but a little bluish.

Are there distinguising charateristics between the P and non-P version?

What you have is a standard. The premium would have LSH-P engraved.

Humm... That's no good. Do ALL LSH-P's have that engraved without exception?

yes all arc flashlights should say LSH-P if they are premium.

I would rather not say until I can discuss the situation with the dealer. It's probably the right thing to do.

My LSH-P has "LSH P-652" engraved on the bezel.

Everything is cleared up. Thanks for everyone's input or I would have doubted forever if I really received the right or wrong product! hehe...

I'd like to put in a special thanks to Cyrus from Vicomptel which has sat through to email me back and forth in order to get to the product I was interested in.

When I emailed him about the problem with my order, he quickly replied and sent out my "real" LSH-P and told me to send the non-Premium version back to him once I'd received the new one. It was a simple mixup that could have happend to anyone. If ONLY more companies had CS as good as theirs! Thank you Cyrus.

It'll also give me the opportunity to get some side-by-side beamshots and compare the P and non-P LSH, something I doubted that I would ever get the chance to do! If anyone is any interested, I could post them.

Now it looks like the LSL-P is brighter but the LSH-P hotspot is much brighter than the LSL-P hotspot therefore the ability to throw farther ( about 10-15 ft )

While I'm at it...

So you really have to ask yourself if the Premium versions are worth it. Just a little brighter and tint is usually a little whiter but not much. Those of you who got a pure white one really got an ultra rare item.

Since someone asked about the LS2... Now keep in mind that most LS2s are not this bright compared to a LSH-P this one just happens to be. This unusually bright and white LS2 was my lightning strike of luck. I only ordered this one and I got a keeper. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
