For mounting flashlights onto a bicycle handlebar, I came up with this:
What do you all think?
Features:
Dual Quick-release
Sturdy as heck (mountain biking and jumps and bumps)
Cheap ($7+Tax)
Uses ultra strong plastic material
Can re-direct control and attack take of beam
Easy to build (5 minutes)

So you need 2 of these or something pretty close

then you take a screwdriver and take off the screw for each of the two mounts, then you need a screw (one that is sharp pointed like for screwing into wood)
take the two plates and place them face to face, but turn one 90° to form a plus sign.
use the wood screw and screw them together
then put the quickcam mount back together again

Hi Broloch. Quick question...

When you screwed the two mounts together with the wood screw, did you pre-drill the plastic on the flat parts first? Or are there pre-existing holes that can be used?

I'm going to pick up a few of these and give it a try. It looks like the perfect solution for a current bike lighting need I have.

Also, is that a Wolf-Eyes Explorer?

Thanks!

Yes, it is a WE Explorer. Plenty bright, comparable to a Fenix L2D CE P4 on Turbo, and a bit more spill. Change out at night, is only one battery switch, when it is dark and scary out, versus 2XAA.

No pre-drill, I do things quick and dirty -the plastic is the strongest type out there- used for heavy-duty applications. I used a hammer and nail to set up the pilot hole.

Safe riding in the dark! (Fun in forest trails. lol):twothumbs your light versus wolves and woods. :naughty:

Hey great mount Idea. I think I've seen that mount before. Wait I have on my bike.

I did the same thing except I bolted the two mounts together. A little trimming of some washers and I was set to go.

I really like the mount I've had no probs with it yet.

You think that can fit a Mag 2D?

No. Not even close.

Go with a TwoFish, for a 2D Mag.

By the way, I like this mount. In fact, I prefer it to the TwoFish lock blocks I was using but I just started using it about a week ago.
