There are so many to chose from...
all of them completely B.S. specs, but that's beside the point. I want to know which eBay lights you all have bought and what you think of them (pros and cons). Photos are nice too:D

I would disregard everything with a name that includes 'fire'. You can search for 'surefire' later if you are interested in those.

True but it looks like they are implying you can get 3800 lumens from a single 18650. That might be pushing things just a little bit.
That is very true. Even with a 26650 I don't see that happening. I can't imagine a 3.7v driver could regulate enough current for 40watts AND keep a reasonable temperature.

Lol. I actually buy those to use as hosts for lasers I make because they are so cheep. I would never use one as a flash light for anything apart from looking for spiders under the bed.

After doing a bit of looking around and seeing a few youtube videos, for a general purpose cheap flashlight that floods, I picked up a skyray king for about 35.00 ( without batteries ) that does quite well for the little I spent on it. No, it doesn't come close to the 5000 lumens they say etc. but, it's probably just shy of 2000.

My purpose for the light is just a walking around light that I can light up large areas and put in a glovebox of the kawasaki mule and look for things I've lost or misplaced in the dark. ( since I live out in the country ) ... It's about the size of a soda can and it's basically a cheap light with large lumen count that is extremely floody but, that works for lighting up an entire field in front of me for 100yds or so and, it's hard to beat for that price and purpose.

Sure, I'll probably replace it with something else more expensive but, for now, it lives outside in the glovebox of the mule and, I won't be heartbroken if it breaks.
