I've been looking around for a charger for my Thor X 10million x candlepower spotlight. I've searched high and low on google.. All I've found are newer lights that dont seem to fit what I'm looking for.

Since this is my "introduction thread" I'll say a little about my self. my name is Chazz, I live in the Seattle area. I like fishing , backpacking, riding sportbikes things of that nature. I just back from Iraq and I have lots of time on my hands now.

I bought the light with the intention of having some thing like a portable flood light to use at night while I catch calamari. I have to use battery power due to there being no power on the Docks I fish from. I'm probably better off using something like a portable flood light. I need a wide beam and it doesnt have to very bright. That's whyt I was drawn into buying the Thor X for it's less bright setting. Any thoughts?

Disclaimer I tried to make a thread earlier but it seems to have disapeared. not sure whether a mod thought it was badly written or what? If I have to wait so mnay hours being new than ignore this thread thanks Chazz. And if a mod deleted it well :scowl:

Welcome to CPF, chazz11bravo...

There is no record of any earlier thread by you, and there wasn't one deleted, so I'm a little puzzled by what you say.

We do not delete threads because/if they are badly written. This thread was waiting in the moderation queue when I logged on a few minutes ago, and I validated it straight away. Sometimes there is a wait if there is no member of CPF staff around to check all the posts by new members and weed out the spammers and trolls, but this only applies to your first few posts.

Welcome to CPF. I no longer have any of my Thor charging wall-warts but I have the pin that goes into the charging port. The outside of the pin is about 7/32" in diameter and the inside of the pin is about 5/64". You could use any wall wart that is marked 13.8 Volts DC and anywhere from 500 mili amp (ma) ((slow charge)) to about 1500 ma (faster charge). Hope that helps. Any wall wart that is used to charge a small, 12 Volt sealed lead acid battery will work if the pin fits. It might even be generically marked as "12 Volt"
