Anyone seen one of these? I saw one at Fry's. The first place I thought to check was here but couldn't I find anything in search under "humvee"

Nothing whizbang about the Thor. It isn't too different from carrying a car battery hooked up to a car head lamp. You can upgrade to a 100W lamp, but runtime suffers immensely.

Don't want to take anything away from it. Good amount of light, but it just can't sustain it long enough for it to be useful to me. Now HIDs on the other hand... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

And it's a simple mod to 35 watt HID, and carrying a car battery and a 35 watt HID, well, that's 2 hours of runtime, a very nice combo.

Could this be the reason why there are two plugs on the Thor? One for charging from your house electricity, and one for driving the Thor (having it on) while connected to your car? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

The top hole in mine is marked for charging and the bottom hole is marked for 12v operation only .

Roy,

Have you tried plugging your Thor into your cigarette outlet and running it? Is this intended to happen, or will this damage something?

Looks like there are many different names for the same light. Next week's Canadian Tire sales flier has one on sale[$30cad off] for $59.99cad called Sunforce. Since they have a good return policy, I'll buy one to check it out.
