Hi, I am new here but I have been an anonymous user for the last 3 weeks. I am looking for a really riliable ledlight. I live in the Netherlands so I have not much choice, and CR 123's are expensive. I would like to have a light with an aluminium body. There are two lights that I found here, a SF L1 and an Inova X5. From what I could find, the SF looks better because it has two intensity levels and thus a long usetime in low. I would like to know how much light the X5 produces compared with the SF in high and low mode. Does anyone have an idea which I should buy, or will I be better of with the X1 when it comes out?

Welcome to CPF!

Some of the cheapest SF123As in Europe come from your neck of the woods. I believe I costed them out at £1.44 including postage etc. That's really good I think.

The X5T I have makes a great waterproof SF123A holder (that also happens to be a flashlight). The L1 is a users flashlight - especially when you make EDC use of the PocketClip.

I guess you do not own lots of X5Ts, hm?

Just the one X5T (gift from I believe Mark of Inova at SS2003). It actually does get used as a flashlight around the house. I've only had to replace the batteries twice since Feb03 whereas I go through 2 or 3 pairs a week in my EDC.
