Hi everyone:wave:

I have a draco by Modamag on order and, in anticipation of its arrival, I've been reading a lot of posts about the flashlight and the 10280's that power it. I ordered the light after becoming mesmerized by its beauty and reported performance. Now, having read about the characteristics of unprotected Li-ions such as the 10280, I'm scared that this battery is best used by someone who has more knowledge about things electronic than I. I'm so scared that I'm going to do something foolish and dangerous with this light that I almost don't want to use it.

I have to admit that I'm a total moron with regard to all things electronic.:ohgeez: I've read some posts that I don't fully understand about undercharging and overcharging and how dangerous the recharging process can be. If I have to be extraordinarily careful with this battery and if I have to learn how to use a voltage meter, etc., I'll probably just get rid of the light. No need to burn down my house or injure on of my kids on account of my stupidity, you know?

Anyhow, if anyone can give me some tips on how to safely use this battery, I'd really appreciate it!

Dave

then adding, the very small lower current chargers like nano style will charge it just fine, also there is a Coin cell li-ion charger that will charge it slower and just fine too. just like all li-ion you keep the voltage between 4.25V Max and about 2.5V min but even better for longevity, like 4.15 about , and 3.0+ about.
and dont try to charge it to fast for such a little cell, like max 1c at the first of charge, and 25ma max at end of charge, which most the small voltage max chargers will do. when its very LOW try to charge it back up to at least 50% as opposed to leaving it parked very low

with a high power light in small package it is unwise to leave it in burst or high mode then set it up to drain on the table , an open run, or whatever, it would appretiate you holding it so you cool it down, both the led and the battery. so i wouldnt waste my HIGH modes testing , Just USE it :) to test instead.
