If you remember i was asking not too long ago about doing some work to a cheap everready i have. Well i bought a mag 2d cell krypton today and put the backup bulb in the everready to see how bright it was. well it did make it quite a bit brighter. Not amazing but definetley better. It was also a serious hot spot. no spill at all. wich i usually do preffer a thrower, so it was pretty cool. I did take the bul out and put it back in the tailcap of the mag. I will probably just go and by a krptyon bulb for it soon to put in there.

x2... I put a 2D krypton in my fulton GI and came to the same conclusions.

no doubt any CPFer would have a few laying around

I wonder if any of these krypton lamps can be overdriven....just for the fun of it:huh:

Well, krypton lamps are the most tolerant to over-driving ;) I have run a 3 cell krypton bulb in a 4 cell light before. It was bright :) (forget lamp life though :()

An advocator of LED's in the Incan forum, you had better watch your step ;)

Anyways, as was implied above LED's are much better at a lot of things such as lumens per watt, regulated output (most), etc

Incan's also have their +'s such as better color rendition, nicer color on the eyes, etc

It's all your choice :)
