I need help choosing flashlights

When I got the mini maglite pro I was stoked 200+ lumens I really liked it,And I lost it but it did start my interest in
Flashlights:thumbsup: And I get the feeling this is just scratching the surface, so can point me in the right direction
Right now I do not have any decent flashlights so I need flashlights in these categories
EDC under$40
Outdoor under$80
tactical under$100
Very high lumens flashlight (impress friends) under$100
Any other ideas thanks Guys (gals):D

A lot of these uses can overlap...and some are in conflict, such as tactical/outdoor don't really go together well...as outdoor you might want the light to come on at its lowest setting, but tactical, you want it to come on at its highest setting, etc.

"Bright" can mean lumens, or cd. Your friends may not know what either of those are, but, generally, will be more impressed with lights that have a higher cd.

EDC and general use can be the same thing, depending on what you do every day....etc.

So, to start in the right direction, do you have a budget....or, should I try to get you to adopt me?

You do have a good point especially and I put the tactical/outdoor use in the same category to see if there was any conflicting use's
when I said general use flashlight I mean something like the maglite 3d,something that has a long battery life for when I want to conserve
battery life for my edc flashlight,and as a lend out flashlight
and I could use the a tactical flashlight in the outdoors partnered with my edc flashlight

You need to define the flashlight a little better then Outdoor, Tactical, and, EDC. Read the sticky at the top of this sub-forum and copy and paste the check list and of course fill it out. But I'll still recommend you some lights anyway but only for EDC cause I have no clue what your needs are for an outdoor light and a tactical light. You'll need to give us info as to why you need them. Like what are you going to be doing with the lights. Camping, hiking, out in the desert?

As for EDC, I always recommend something small. No bigger than a 1xAA light or a 2xcr123 light that can use a 17670 rechargeable. I find that if I use anything bigger it wont get carried every day and that defeats the purpose of having an EDC. Theses are the 4 lights that I've found to be very comfortable to carry for every day carry and I will always have one of them on me wherever I go.

Perfect for pocket carry, no clip:
FourSevens MiNi ML (also known as, 4Sevens MiNi 123)
FourSevens Quark Pro QPL with out clip (Also known as 4Sevens Quark 123)

Pocket clip carry:
FourSevens Quark Pro QP2L (also known as 4Sevens Quark 123x2)
Fenix LD10 (Im sure the newer models of the LD1x will be just as comfy)

All four of those lights and lights that size make for perfect edc lights. They are comfy to carry and disappear in the pocket

i would recommend researching "p60" type lights and set-ups. it can cover all your listed types of needs.
