I was tired of scrounging for split rings...

...so I bought a passel of them from Wayne Yamaguchi at:
The Sandwich Shoppe (Split Rings)

I bought 5 of each size he offers, it only cost $4.80 plus modest shipping for all of these.

All of these split rings are stainless steel and top quality.

In the photo below from left to right the sizes are (Outside Diameters):

0.22", 0.292", 0.43", 0.543" and 0.67"

You can see the Arc AAA comes with an 0.43" split ring. I included the Arc for scale.

Now I just need to get some Split Ring Pliers and there will be far less cursing here in the bunker. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yellowlaugh.gif

Hi Britt,
These folks will sell you a bunch of sizes, and even in polished brass. If you call them, they will sell in bags of 100 with a small handling charge. Wayne's a friend, but when he doesn't have the size you need....

What does one look like? Where can I buy one?

Every Glow-Ring I've bought I have put a smaller split ring on and every ARC AAA has had a Mini-Clip put on.

Pliers sure would make the process a lot easier.

Another option would be a good fishing tackle store, particularly one that deals w/saltwater tackle.

www.cabelas.com will have them and pliers.

Any clue if anyone supplies BLACK split rings? I'm enamored of the black keychain that comes with the Streamlight Key-mate but haven't ever found a supplier?

Cabelas has black split rings also. The only thing is that you have to buy a gross at a time, although they aren't that expensive.
