I wish Fenix and the other majors would offer at least one light in each of their sizes/lines without the strobe and SOS modes. As in - I wish my P3D didn't have these modes . . . . just high/med/low for me, thanks. You'd think their marketing people would know by now that many would buy such a light. Or second best - put these modes off by themselves somewhere that you don't have to step through them. When's the last time you used SOS? Actually I'd be happy with three modes: super super low/high/turbo - Larry

You mean like the L2P? It only has two modes, low and high.

The new Cree L1T and L2T have only two levels (15 and 140 lumens for the L2T), no SOS or strobe. Plus the new edition includes a normal clickie and a tactical forward clickie.

Yeah, I know . . . but I thought I wanted the 160 Lumens and the P3D size and runtime. Dang, I suppose I'll have to buy another light. I hate it when that happens.

It was my understanding that these lights would have the Rebel LED and not Cree. :thinking:

I agree! Or, at least they could flash...Emergency, bring pizza and drinks! That would be useful. Kind of like the Swiss realizing people would buy their knives if they would just put a corkscrew on it....BRILLIENT!

I agree. I like the HDS/Novatac UI where they are not part of the actual preset levels. I also like simple 2 stage lights like my McLux II PD-S, L1T and soon to arrive L2T v2.

I like the momentary feature on the new Fenix L1T/L2T v2.0 tail switches. If these lights had a medium setting at about 35 lumens with about a 6 hour (L1T)/ 10 hour (L2T) run time they would suit me perfectly. I too have little need for a SOS and Strobe function. Otherwise if included as on the L1D/L2D, I prefer they be combined in a separate "mode" that is not part of the low/medium/high cycle.

I do like to have strobe or SOS. May be not both. But even if the P3D CE have them all, I still think this is OK as it only takes one click to move on. Why not? For rescue and emergency cases it is good to have a strobe or SOS.
