I would like a LED that: uses 2-CR123, has 90+ lumens, and 2 hours+ runtime

I'm getting ready to order a P3D RB100 tomorrow. From all the research I have done it is one heck of a great light.

Even on rechargables the P3D will give you the runtime your looking for (for ~4 hours!), not to mention being able to jump up to ~200 lumens at the twist of a bezel!

Fenix P3D CE Q5 or Fenix P3D Rebel.... get one from either Lighthound.com or fenix-store.com both are great dealers.

Is there one like that?
Yeah, this is doable now, by the P3D and others. It's only been possible for the past year or so, since the Cree XR-E leds came out, and more recently the SSC P4, Luxeon Rebel, etc. i don't like the Fenix digital lights much myself (not fond of their ergonomics or UI), but that's a subjective matter and they are certainly very popular here.

I was looking at the Fenix P3D RB100, but how about the Olight T20 Q5?

I kind of prefer a more Surefire-looking body like, or even the Nuwai TM.

Well P3D R100 comes to mind but Olight T20 Q5 is nice to with longer throw i assume.

If you're looking for a Surefire like body the G2l will satisfy the runtime component and it'll give you somewhere between 65 and 80 lumens. A bit under what you require, but if you are looking at another manufacturer's light advertised at 90 lumens you may find the Surefire just as bright...

Just my 2 cents :)

Dont forget to have a look a the Lumapower M1, you won't get your 2+ hours but it is still a heck of a good light. Also the Deerlight CH 2.0 I think it is. It doesn't have to be just Fenixes!

Too long to list. I would get a Surefire E3D LED. You'll get 200+ lumens for the 1st hour, then over 100 lumens for the next hour (per Surefire). The head splitting option and small size is nice (for me).A lOT depends on what you want to spend, always the first restraint, then the throw vs. spill, etc, etc. Elaborate please Sir.

You dug up a thread from 2007 to reply to. I'm going to guess they found the light they were looking for by now. :eek:oo:

And i was wondering why someone was thinking about getting a old fenix and no one mentioned the quark series :D

Amazing how far things have come in 3 years. I was sitting here thinking "this guy is going to be easy to please."
