Idea on driving a P7 in a Mag host

The idea is to drive a P7 led with 2 drivers for 2 modes. One that puts out about 1000mA for low mode. This one i would wire directly to the battery so i could switch it on and off with the tailcap. The second one with about 1400-1800mA will be wired to the switch to provide a burst mode. I found out some drivers have the +Vin and +Vled shorted. I would handle that by putting the battery in backward and leading the -Vin through the switch. The 2 drivers would be wired in parallel to the led. Now my concerns are:
-Would 2 different drivers work?
-Would the one driver that is running damage the other one?

Please tell me what you think about this idea and feel free to use it in your next mod.

Driving the P7

On your specific design idea, it may be even easier and practical to install a toggle switch above the stock switch. You can then switch between using just one driver or both combined. Driver 1 can be wired to the regular switch, then driver 2 can be wired from the regular switch to the toggle switch. Switching on the toggle will allow power to flow to the second driver.

There have been no reported problems running two drivers together. See thread linked above.
