Just got my NexGen BB Drop-in with the IMS S017XA Reflector

Now I have a question about this part of the instructions -
Quote:
"Break off the bottom three tabs so that none of the legs protude below the bottom of the reflector. Only the bottom nubs need to be broken off. The rest of the legs can remain. End Quote

The reflector I received only has one three legs, breaking them off leaves the reflector with a flat base - in other words, there are no legs remaining.

Is there a mistake in the instructions or are there two different reflectors?

Was I supposed to end up with a flat base on the reflector?

Tnanks,

Chuck

cmassicotte,

Sounds like someone did some pre-work for you and you got lucky. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The reflector needs to sit flush on the black portion of the LED if done correctly. If there are any tabs below the bottom of the reflector, then need to be removed.

Thanks Wayne!!

I cut off the legs, smoothed out the base and it installed and centered perfectly.

Tried it out last night - The NexGen BB 500 and reflector works great /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

sorry spica, mine did. I just ordered another 16 and 18 for another mag I've got lying around. You can probably find one at the hardware and plumbing store.
