Has anyone tried one of this devises, is it worth it?
I have a TK40 that I would like to charge the 8 AA in the fenix magazine with my hobby charger 2*4AA@2000mAh like charging one 4s2p 4000mAh pack. but i'll like to discharge all cells first to balance them and don't overcharge while in series. I'll probably leave the charge at 0.25C (1amp) or less over night, so i don't stress them. Or in the case of only using always the same batteries over and over I don't have to discharge and balance them . I'm not familiar to NiMH chemistry in AA, would I see differences in the AA holding their capacity over time? i have for this lamp 16 dedicated Sony CycleEnergy 2000mAh LSD AA's made in China:thumbsdow

I have one. If your goal is to get down to 0V and stay there, the Booster 3 will do the job.

Now, whether or not it's advisable to bring AA/AAA NiMh consumer cells to 0V is another question entirely. From what I've gleaned, it's ok to bring them that low ONLY when the discharging is done individually AND when the discharging is immediately ceased upon reaching 0V.

0.0v! that's not my idea for healthy cells, thanks, I think i'll have to get me a Maha MH-C801D or trickle charge at 0.25A overnight, but i don't know how the LSD cells will take it. Thanks:twothumbs
