What no response to me latest questions? I know I am a noob and asked alot of questions, but hopefully I didn't **** you all off.

Do not desperate. People here is very helpful, but for obvious reasons, many questions to which you can find answers using the "SEARCH" function won't be aswered so easily and so fast. Mainly because they have been responded many times before. Probably they think as I do:

“Give a man a fish and he eats for a day, teach him to fish and he eats for a lifetime.”

Don't misunderstand me, I don't want to be rude.

Being said the above, I think what you have bought is enough to start as modder. If you take care of heatsinking and not exceding the values recomended by the manufacturer, you acn enjoy for a while.

Being a "modder" takes time, lots of time, some "holy smoke", even money, work... It is a long road, young padawan. I recomend you to start with the electronics course publisihed right here, and take a look at historic threads published some years ago. Then it was difficult to get drivers (I can remenber that fantastic project with a Maglite and a ZX310, or the lights made by Elektrolumens... McGizmos first creations, Newbie posts, Mr.Al trying to explain electronics...)

Thanks, I didn't know there was an electronics course. That should be some good material why I await the arival of my lights. I went the route of buying the lights so I could use them while I plan the modification.

The battery causes be some concern as I have really seen a detail DIY of making a battery. There are some pics, but haven't found anything in the way of a tutorial. I don't really want to get that part wrong.
