so who's sick of me putting 4000K seouls in everything?
ok, ok, so i bought 15 of them.. i'm down to about 4 left..
i did get a few xp-e's in the mail today..i'll play with them later.
Wanting to keep the AA nimh simplicity of the Inova X1, i grabbed a dx "rv7" boost board.
Trimmed the edges of the board to slide down the head and sit on the lower ridge. Cut out a copper heatsink and aa'd the high cri seoul to it.
Then trimmed the base opening of the reflector to fit the led.
I kept the bezel 1/16" out and filled the space with a glow oring, this way i
can remove the guts as needed. Freeze popping works great..but i'm not
going to do it with the seoul in place. the reflector is still plenty tight and sits
nicely on the seoul's shoulders.
the rv7 board is fun. Group 1 is where i have it.
dim-low-med-high-standby(really really low)-beacon
the strobes on group3 are wicked. lol
standby has to be about 1 lumen..it's great.
high is bright...battery draw on a half charged eneloop(@1.25v) was reading 2.4amps got some fresh batts charging, this driver is supposed to
push 800mah to the led on fresh batts. i dont doubt it, i bet it will be close.
oops got some pocket lint on the lens.
the machined inova reflectors put out a nice beam.
