I think LedASAP tried that. Or, maybe it was with a LuxIII.
Anyway, I know that he said he had to modify the stock circuit, so that it could handle the current, and even then it would only do about 150mA, which would be good for an 8mm led.

I dont know what he did, nor how to mod the circuit though /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Would be nice to make some using a regular AA cell though.

I own a black body with white LED. I will probably be ordering another black body with green LED. I would probably get in line for a red LED if they were introduced.
