It's wider than the Turtlelite I, and at the same time less side spill; just got mine, and I like it! The beam is reminiscent of a theater spotlight, with very sharply defined edges, ringed with blue which looks really neat.
When shined on a surface about 4 inches away, you can see a focused image of the LED wires.
Total light output is a bit less than my Ultra, when using the same battery, but it's pretty close.
