I have 2 InReTech 2AA adapters, and I really like them a lot. However, in spite of that I DON'T like using *ag products. I seem to have a problem with companies that jump on the litigation bandwagon every time somebody comes out with a product that's better and more versatile than theirs (...that seems to happen a LOT with *ag...). I think it's poetic justice that my InReTech adapters fit perfectly in a Brinkmann Legend 2AA...with the Legend's tail-cap switch it makes for (IMO) a better light. I've never been all that crazy about twist-on type lights anyway...one handed operation always seemed like a BIG plus to me. I like all of the PT lights I own, but they don't see a lot of use simply because of the twist-on. I see them as sort of an inconvenience.

Anyway, if you're considering an alternative light to use your InReTech adapters in, the Brinkmann Legend 2AA works very nicely...and if I'm not mistaken, Brinkmann fell victim to *ag's "sue the competition" witch hunt a few years ago. My choosing a Legend over a Mini*ag isn't going to put anybody's future at *agLite in jeopardy...but it sure makes ME feel better

but i once saw a 2aa at k's merchandise.

I wondered if the InReTech would work in the Brinkmann. THANKS for pointing that out and I'll throw in a "DITTO" on the tailcap switch and rubber grip comments!

Hey, thanks for the info! I was kinda afraid to ask as I thought it probably had been discussed to death

and I had not got around to doing a search.
Now I can order my amber Inretech and a Brinkmann!

PJD,
Much agreement from me on your Brinkmann kudos, all I have to do now is to figure out were to buy a Brinkmann! Went to Wally World and they only sell the two 123 Legends, were did you buy your 2 AA light?
I want to put my BB500 into the Brinkmann and a Inretech adaptor with Lithiums into the old **g. The Legend is much better with the rubber grip and tail switch IMHO.

Thanks for the post!

I too, would prefer to use a Brinkmann over a Mini-mag, litigation aside, I just like the form factor of the Brinkmann better.

I had lots of trouble (no light, dim light, flickering light) when I put my InReTECH 2AA in a Brinkmann 2AA, but all the troubles went away when I put it in a mini-mag.

One would think they would work, as the bulbs themself are interchangable.

I might have had an earlier production model of the InReTECH however.

BentHeadTX...I got my Legend 2AA at a local KMart. It was only $7.88 there vice $14.95 on Brinkmann's website. I've never checked, but I've heard that Ace Hardware sells them, too. If you do order from the Brinkmann site, shipping is free and customer service is outstanding...

BuddTX...don,t screw the bezel of the Legend all the way down, and that should alleviate any flickering/dimming problems. If you screw the bezel of the Legend down too far it makes the collimater push on the Luxeon, and it will go off. I can't explain why, but I seem to get a better/tighter "throw" with the InReTech in the Legend as opposed to the *ag.

All in all, IMO the Legend is simply a superior light.
