Hi,
With the new release of the XM-L LED, I'm thinking about upgrading the LEDs to two of my budget lights. This will be my first attempt at modifying a light aside from using 18650 in a C/D host.
I have a Lowes Task Force 2C/3W and a Home Depot Husky 2D/4W. I'm seeing odd readings on the Husky when using Li-Ion 18650.
Here are my tailcap readings:
TF: 2 x C Alkaline = 1.1amp; 1 x 18650 = 1.8amp
HD: 2 x D Alkaline = 2.2amp; 1 x 18650 = 1.8amp
Being uneducated to all the complex formulas involved in the science of circuitry, it strikes me odd that the Husky 2D would have a lower amperage on 18650. Is this normal since I'm feeding it more voltage?
Thanx in advance for any help,
-JH
