Interesting LED flashlight

Startrek? Reminds me of the older 80s type lights I use to see in stores.

I guess if I wanted to see this in person I should hit the hardware section? Last I visited a target (Tar-jay) they had little to no automotive section than I last remembered.

aye captain, phaser set to stun! damn i wish there was a target here in vancouver.

i kinda dont like the new Enterprise episodes. well, i dont watch as much tv anymore to give it a chance. sigh... i wish i had that phaser looking flashlight when i was a kid... all those other trekies would have worshiped me.

Hit the flashlights section (literally - it's almost half an aisle) if you want that light... but I'd suggest avoiding it personally.

Short summary - it may be big, but it sure is dim.

The light only has 5 white LEDs (disappointing for something that large) and the 3 red LEDs are red-dyed indicator types (read: dim). The housing was obviously designed for a plug-in rechargable light (I guess Vector got one hell of a deal on the molds).

I just ordered one - for CPF sakes of course. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I will look it up. I dont really plan on buying one, but has been a long, long time since Ive looked at the flashlight section of target.

was in Target yesterday. the flashlight section had only one AA maglight and one 4D maglight remaining. Several 2D s were there, though.

This is not a good time of year to get a flashlight at walmart, kmart or target. most are sold out.
Walgreens had vector 1 million CP spot lights for $9.99 yesterday. Wait till January 15th when everyone is restocked.

Some Lights

This flashlight is not rechargeable, does not plug into a 110VAC receptacle, and does not have an EL nightlight.

From the web page, comes the following text:

• This rechargable flashlight is always charged and ready to use in emergency power outages
• The night light plugs into any household 110 volt outlet
• Special glow in the dark electroluminescent night light, makes it easy to find your way in the dark
• Use during emergency power outages
• NiCad rechargeable batteries

It uses four ordinary AA cells, like this one.
