Newly Enlightened
I now own an LSL-P (my first non-AAA Arc), an LSH-ST (considered a second) and an LS First Run that was hand-selected by Cy (who did a great job). I don't have any pics as of yet, but I noticed some interesting differences, some of which are suprising.
Of the three lights, the LSH-ST seems to have the most throw, be the brightest light and also have the most flood. It also has a "square" center beam, but it's pretty much only noticeable at close distances. It has a fairly white center beam and several pretty noticeable rings around it, which are quite blue. Also, there are two thin lines where no light shines through extending from the outside of the central beam to the inside of the first ring.
The LSL-P, which surprises me, has the bluest beam of all three lights. I was under the impression that the Premium versions all had LEDs specifically selected for color. Anyway, it is quite blue throughout, but of the three lights it has the nicest beam which appears very smooth and even and has no noticeable ring effects. It is probably the dimmest of the three lights, but honestly they're all quite close. It seems to have a little more oomph than an Inova X5, and it's not quite that blue, either.
Of the three lights, the LS First Run from Cy (non-modded) has the whitest beam. The beam is beautiful and perfectly white/warm without any hints of blue. It seems to have a good mix of throw and flood, too, and is very bright. For EDC, I think of the three this would be my pick because it's clearly the best of the three in the "overall category."
