Interesting Question for Modifiers

which of the above procedures are done inorder to create a nice 40-50mW laser pointer ?

(not trying to do anything myself, just asking. . i want to know what kind of work has to be done before having this amasing laser)

I have an older greenie, over 2 years old. I bumped up the current, but that made little difference. Now, I work on industrial YAGs, including SHG systems (25Watt greens) So I just dove in and took mine apart. Mine has an alignment pin that keeps the diode, YAG, and KTP in alignment. But it does have 3 set screws that moved the position of the main mirror (output coupler) by adjusting this (not easy) but I got some crazy power, at least 25mW. remember, this was a few years ago. IMHO, the diode will make a difference, i mean more in more out. But having GOOD optics, perfect phase alignment, and mirror tuning will make all the difference.

Well the question is not how they do it but do they do it, mine certainly wasn't what Chris had it rated at!

But, you know I felt a bit cheated for a 25mw which just had the pot adjusted, I have sent the 45mw back so we'll see. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon23.gif

Yes mate, you should be able to get to 30mw using my guide:

But yes, does anyone know which resistors to swap, I have a spec sheet from that says the diode can take 500ma let alone the 320ma that the pot will allow. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

yeah, if anyone knows how to deal with resistors and diodes and things like that to make the output over 100mW please contact me. . . I'm willing to pay few hundred USD. .
