I have an iProtec 1400 4x zoom flashlight which has served me very well for photography. However it now flashes on then fades to barely visible - something in it's toasted.
I've made an lens adapter for it so I can use it as a gobo-like projector for photography which has been pretty good, and it gave me a good 90 minutes of intense light (1400 lumens) with 6x1.2v 2400mAh AA rechargeable batteries.
Question: Do I just reorder this light? It covers most of my bases and the price has dropped since I first purchased it.
Or are there torches out there which are focusable, have a convenient and durable power supply, and will keep cool enough on full power at at least 1400 lumens for long duration?
