IR Laser

Hey everyone, I'm new here and just found out about this forum a few days ago. I have a project that I am working on in order to catch some suspicious characters around my yard…but I am setting it up so it's false alarm proof sensor since I'm sick of motion detectors giving off false alarms.



What I am looking for is an IR laser that has to be CHEAP! I am not so much interested in beam quality, as a regular dollar store laser pen could work in my application. However I need to go with IR so it makes it hard to detect the laser.



Also this is not your simple "cut the laser beam and set off an alarm" alarm system, it's quite sophisticated and so far very immune to false alarms.



So, any good place that sells "budget minded" IR lasers with the same quality as a regular laser pen at a competitive price?

Using possibly harmful IR laser for obscure purposes isn't a subject we'd want to discuss on CPF, sorry. Please make yourself familiar with the rules of CPF and especially the laser forum (sticky threads).
