IR LED Light ?

As someone new to flashlights, I was wondering if your have a IR LED light, is there anyway to see (i.e. test) it is working WITHOUT using night-vision equipment?

Ah, the good ol' RadioShack IR test paper will do the trick

Most CCD detectors are sensitive to IR as well.

And if you don't have one of those, the vast majority of digital cameras can also pick up most IR LED output. If you have a camera with an LCD screen on the back, you can use that to check out the IR light without having to go through the rigamorole of taking and downloading a picture.

Depending on the LED wavelength and camera type, the LED glow might appear yellow, bluish white, or whitish purple.

Most IR LEDs are very eff and powerfull, don't "stare" into the LED hoping to see something
