is a Li-Po charger the same as Life-Po4

Li-po = lithium polymer. LiFePO4= lithium iron phosphate. Completely different chemistries, not usually a problem except in this case the voltages are too different to use the same charger.

Hi,
can a li-po 3.2v max 3.6v charger work with LiFePo4 3.2v and 3.6vmax or this this a No No many thanks DocD
If your charger has a setting 3.2V (nominal), 3.6V (max) then yes, that will correctly charge an LiFePO4 cell.

thanks for all you guy's help so today i got a bantam e-station BC6 charger only £99.99 to charge my liFePO4 battery's let you know how it goes cheers happy new year DocD

That has been a nice quality, balancing charger that includes the LiP04 (A123 cells) chemistry, and built in AC transformer. Most RC Hobby chargers require a separate 12V power supply.

There is also an inexpensive "Dapter" from www.SLKElectronics.com that will allow you to use a typical Li-Ion/LiPo charger that did not have A123 capability.
