Is an XJC B12 worth fixing ?

The tailcap switch is inconsistent
The emitter is kind of weak
Are there budget products that can revive this light ?

I do like the fact that it's a rechargable 18650 and also it has a rugged build .

Looks like a DX-UF based light using a P60 type drop-in w/ XRE emitter. Simple upgrade is a SolarForce [or similar] XRE-R2 or XP-G based drop-in for ~$20-$30.

The funky switch probably just needs to be tightened down and everything cleaned and lubed.

The spring has a flat section that is supposed to make contact with the switch , I just can't seem to bend it just right
