I have been interested in the MAG85 Concept for some time now using the M*G 3D as the host. My concerns of course would be the runtime. Would it be possible to get continous 30 minute usage? Could it handled the heat if I was to use fivemeg Aluminum Reflectors?

If you smell burning plastic, it's coming from the bulb tower.
Usually the reflector is the 1st to go, then the bulb tower.
Other than those obstacles, the magglite is a fairly sturdy light with some distance between the lamp and batteries.
