is it worth the money?

hi, just found a good deal about eternalight elite xray for $64. Do you think it is worth it for the money in terms of brightnest and usability? Is it better to throw my money on inova and arc aaa? Or save the money so that sometime later i can buy a more expensive Arc ls or surefire or led-mod?

Eppes Corner has the Elite X Ray for $49.80 + shipping. They also sell the leather clip on case for a good price also. It's for website orders only at this price.

I have an extra EternaLight Ergo 3 (new in the box) I'd let go - shipped (U.S. addresses) for $30.

well, they are for different purposes, so it really depends why you want the light.

eternalite will give you longer runtime, and not as bright...but many different modes a square case, and a different beam patter

a ls base light (be it arc or other) will give you much increased brightness, less run-time, taditional carry package (well, the arc being so small with the 123 isn't really "traditional" but it is great!) and it will be a more round beam pattern.

a mod will be brighter than both, bigger, and no warranty...

i would go with the arc...but that is just for my purposes.

i dont have the eternalight, but i do have a Arc LS and it is FABULOUS. i wear it cliped to my belt loop EVERYWHERE. its so small yet packs alot light when needed. i wont even mention the cool factor when someone asks me what i got on my belt, and i get to show it off

if you decide to save for the Arc LS i'm pretty sure you will be very happy. anyways thats just my opinion and good luck whatever you get.

yeah, grift. I also agree the arc ls is fabulous, but the price tag is also fabs (about twice the price of eternal). I am willing also to buy the arc but i just cannot afford to pay 100+ for a flashlight. Maybe when the price drop, then i will have arc in my hand. For now, save save save.
