Is my sst-50 emitter bad?

I noticed that one corner of the emitter does not illuminate. Is this normal? The beam pattern still looks regular, nice smooth circle. What do you guys think. I am juicing the emitter with a 18650, so per manufacturer this drives Vf to 1.1-1.2 A. I can get a higher Vf @1.8A if I beef up the voltage, from my understanding.

I barely know what I am talking about, since I just know numbers and barely understand the underlying concepts of all this, I admit I am dumb in this regard, but I am trying to learn:thinking:. All info I get is from you guys on this forum. So please go easy with the technicals, since what I said is just regurgitated info.
