Is there a huge difference between Fenix P3D Rebel 0100 & Ultrafire EMR1 Rebel?

I really like the output and tints of the rebel LEDs.

I'm debating whether the extra runtime is worth it on the P3D, not to mention it's also fully regulated.
I'm thinking of running it on (2) protected AW rcr123's.
Also, would you see a big difference in output?

I got the FMR1 (from Kaidomain) and well I'm ok with it. It's got great high output but the low settings have a noticeble flicker to them.

Hmmm...my FMR1 doesn't have any flicker in the lower modes (excluding the strobe and SOS modes, of course). Also, you're not talking about that single confirmation flicker at 2 seconds after mode switch, are you?

The EMR1 Rebel is also fully regulated...actually one of the best that I've seen. The only negative on fully regulated drivers is that as the battery drains and the voltage drops...the circuit will lower it's resistance to suck more power out of the battery...and this will trigger the 'short protection circuit' in those protected batteries (those grey batteries, but not the blue ones, from UltraFire/TrustFire). So, you'll get very constant light output...then suddenly darkness.

I don't have the P3D, but the EMR1 measures ~600mA at the battery at 4.15V. So I'm guessing around 700mA at the LED...not really the rated 200 lumen flashlight (at 1000mA)...but still very bright.

I have both the P2D and P3D (Rebels) and the EMR1. There's a noticable difference in quality btwn these lights, as one might expect due to the price difference. I also have a bit of a flicker issue w/ the EMR1 which bugs me enough to recommend the Fenix, even at twice the price. With that said, the EMR1 is pretty cool for $30...

people are buying the rebels instead of the crees because the rebels have a much better tint and the crees have more of a lottery.

Um, no, you have that backwards with the lottery part. But you're right, some people DO prefer the warmer tint of the Rebel overall. Just not all of the Rebel's are great.

I have 4 rebel lights they all have the same exact tint. My cree lights vary from pink to white. Which of youre rebel lights have different tints?

ps: all my rebels are fenix lights all my cree lights are dx except for my 7060 pelican which is the pinkest of them all.

I have been following the threads regarding the Fenix Q5 P1D and people have been reporting tints all way from sickly green to brilliant white.
