eBay for Arc LS

I think I would feel more comfortable passing judgement on it if there were more beamshots to compare it with.

I don't have any experience with the light on ebay so I can't say whether it's a good deal. However, I feel that it's misleading for the seller to refer to it as an Arc flashlight. The exterior parts were made for Arc and are factory rejects. The circuitry is built by the person selling the lights.

For the same amount of money you could buy a Pelican M6 LED from one of the dealers who support CPF. The Pelican is held in high regard among CPF members. It's very bright and has an absolutely beautiful beam. For considerably less money you could buy a Streamlight 3AA Tasklight, another Luxeon-based light well received by CPF members. I have both of these lights and consider them to be money well spent.

Near as I can tell,, the seller has not misrepsented theh light. If you don't mind the mismatched body parts, the dual output probably makes it an ok buy at the "Buy It Now" price.

Hi Sproles,

I think this light may be the same in kind that was placed for sale here.

EDIT . . . Whoops. I see that LitFuse beat me to it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I have 2 of his lights and I think they are a great deal. It's a little yellow but it says that in the ad.If you read the entire ad, he explains everything.Even shows the light taken apart. Also I emailed him for the second one and he had a p3 luxeon. It was a little more but EVERY bit as bright as the arc ls I had.His feedback is 100% as well. And NO,I'm not the one selling, nor do I know him other than business.Just my 2cents worth.Hope it helps.BTW now that the LONGBOWS are out,I'd slap an extra $20 down and get one of them instead. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink2.gif

I bought one a while back, after reading second linked thread. The seller says "white beam with a yellow tint." That is accurate. The light is slightly yellowish, but not objectionably so. It is also a good quality light in other respects; and the seller ships fast and is responsive.

As an early arc derivitive, the beam is typical of low dome luxeons: more diffused or floodlike, with a less defined hotspot in the middle.

I am satisfied with it. If I had to buy only one in this class of lights and this price range, I probably would go for an lsh factory second, if you can get one. As mentioned there other good choices for similar but not same featured lights. Ok deal.

Of course you can always...buy this one AND another one...

That was my next question - about the fctory seconds - any luck with them? For $50 - why not!? What COULD be wrong with them, besides some cosmetic problems?

I have 2 arc lsh seconds; I highly recommend them. One is slightly yellow/green but pretty bright; the other is white and I don't really know why it's a second. It could be that its current exceeds spec and the run time somewhat shortened, but I haven't noticed.

Get a twisty with it and put in the gadget lover's hi/low resistor mod (search for hi/low). Despite owning other lights including an arc4+ second, for now my edc continues to be the lsh.
