Is this plausible?

I was thinking (uh oh, this is dangerous) about making a custom light. Not machining it, of course, but buying parts and then assembling a light. I was thinking of multiple set ups, but of those, this one stands out:
Bezel
z44 surefire - is this in HAIII?

Lamp assembly
D26 9 series extreme high output - is it really 380 Lu on primaries?

Body
Leef 2x16500/3x123 (I'd be using the primary version)

tailcap
Leef hexagonal w/ McClicky - I've heard of SF clickies going kaput, is this one durable? Will it last 1000000000000's of clicks?(dramatization)

Misc.
LeefGrip - how many more options does this open up? How well does it work with the tailcap/body combo I've mentioned?

I'm also thinking of a setup that has a higher output bulb, with the 4x123 body, but I'm aiming more for the 3x123. How much brighter does this compare to the current G2 with P60 that I have? What about runtime? I'm willing to carry a Pelican 1010 w/15 batts, but don't want to carry around some back mounted thing that looks like it came from Ghostbusters or something. If you guys have any of the parts listed, how do you like them? Do they function to your expectation? Is the HAIII on the LeefGear durable? Does the Leef Grip rotate (slide) around a lot?

thanks a ton for all of your help!

have a good one,

It's definitely a very bright bulb. Way, way brighter than the P60, which is rated at 65 (SureFire) lumens. However, this hot (literally) bulb will run only about 35 minutes on CR123s and is not recommended to be used more than 10 minutes continuously. So unless you are planning to use the light very intermittently, this wouldn't be a good choice. You'd be better off using one of the other Lumens Factory 9V D26 assemblies.

The LF EO-9 is 380 bulb lumens, which I think is ~240 torch/Surefire lumens. It will run fine on 3 x CR123A primaries or 2 x 18500 Li-Ions (it pulls 2A). It does have a 10-minute heat warning.

If you want something which is still pretty bright but has a bit more run-time and no heat warning, there is the HO-9, which is 320 bulb lumens (~200 torch). This draws 1.55A, so you can even run it off 2 x RCR123s in a 2-cell body.

Other LF specs here:

I think I might go with the SR-9 bulb instead of the EO-9, but only time will tell. Is the Surefire z44 bezel in HAIII?
thanks so very much!

have a good one,

okay! is the tailcap by leef a lock-out? and if I twist it and stuff, will the leefgrip still be tight? thanks a ton!
