Is this suppose to be a fenix L2D copy?

Wow, interesting! I like the SS bezel and the simpler modes (tho I prefer to start on low).

It could use more knurling too. Overall, an interesting choice, but I don't think I will ever buy a $45 light from DX that I have never heard of. Too many hit and miss experiences there.

Just noticed that they have a p3d clone too. Even the box screams fenix clone. I prefer the interface of the p3d better. I like to always start mine on max. Also, its not cheap enough that I would take a chance on it over a real fenix.

Very Fenix like. It doesn't have the twist bezel like the Fenix but it sure is similar, perhaps even better looking?

The design and measurements suggest that both are Fenix clones on the outside. Since they don't address finish, I would assume that they are Type II, not HAIII. I like the stainless steel bezel, but they are more than two-thirds the cost of the real deal. If the price were under $30, I might consider taking a risk with an unknown.

I read the instructions and it states that it has a memory mode.
The interface looks close to the one on the MTE Q5 Five Mode. That interface takes a bit of time to get used to it. After 2 seconds in any mode, the light retains that level in memory. You have to switch quickly when first turning on the light to get to the level you want. Once it retains the setting you have to double press to get out of the mode and into the next, or turn the light off and back on and then quickly press a single time before 2 seconds to get it to switch to the next mode. It sounds more complicated than it is, but for those who hate memory modes, this is not the light you want.

It not only comes in L2D clone but also P3D clone as well!!!

ps. has DX gotten alot slower in the last year or is it just me? I made an order on items that were all in stock a week ago an they've only just now changed the status to packaging...i remember one time they shipped out within the day i ordered before i even had a chance to cancel/change my order.

Interesting ... the Chinese are copying each other now? :ohgeez:

The SS bezel does look pretty neat though.

Exactly, it isn't so cheap. Perhaps the quality is on a par with Fenix.
The standard L2D is only slightly more at $50 at fenixstore right now and its not a bad tried and tested light.

The DX Ese light looks better though if it matters.

I agree datiLED. But those who don't know about Fenix might choose this instead. I would love to see some reviews.

The great thing is Fenix is always innovating so these lights will always be playing catch up.

For me it's another "excess" of Fenix engineers. First was Olight - deeper reflector, changing modes by twisting the head (only) and almost the same circuit board. Ese is next - smooth reflector for better throw and no twisting at all.

Anyone willing to take the dive?

The outside looks fine, but if the innards break apart after the first fall...

I'd rather get a Fenix...can't beat lifetime warranty coming from our dealers

I would try it if it were cheaper and was sold out of the US. At that price I would just buy the Fenix. At least you know those are good quality lights and go through some Q & A! Looks nice ....but anybody can copy another persons work as opposed to coming up with something themselves! :thumbsdow
