With much consideration I got my first decent flashlight through the marketplace. A 6p LED with a z59 clickie and a dereelight 1SM-2 Q3 drop in. I got it in the mail today and was pretty impressed with the build quality and also with the throw of the dereelight. I'm still waiting for night fall to really give it a good testing. I also have been looking for a multi-mode drop in with a good low mode so I could get a good run time from the batteries. Today, a few hours after receiving the light I spotted and bought a Malkoff M60L. The addiction has begun, anyone got a FM 34 laying around, hehehe.

Much thanks CPF.

Wouldn't be right without pics so here you go.

:welcome:! Wow, what a great "first light". My first "real light" was an SF G2...now I have over 20 SF's and a few other lower end lights. This light will definitely "sell you" on quality lights. I just got my first Malkoff the otherday (thanks ecko32), and the hype was well deserved. Now you just need an A19 so you can start using 9-volt LA's, and let the fun begin! I'd sell ya my FM34, but I like it too much! Not only does it help smooth the beam out for up-close enclosed areas, but it makes the light look bad-arse!

Now you just need to get an L1 Lumamax, and you'll never stop! Worth every penny, and one of the most fail proof lights out there and the nicest (IMO) user interface available.
