So I got the JetBeam M1X for my birthday 2 weeks ago and it was working fine for the most part. If you shook the flashlight the light was flicker a bit but I think that was a battery connection problem, I could be wrong though. Anyway, today I noticed that my 18650s hit their cut off point, they had the protection chips on them, so I replaced them with freshly recharged 18650s.

That's where the problem. It never reached full power again. I twisted the head all the way and it never changed brightness to full power. It was stuck at what I set in the hidden menu. Even when going through the different brightness in the hidden menu, it never reach full power and only got to around 25%-50% brightness.

Did anyone ever have this problem before or know how to fix it? I have a warranty card for it. What's the best way, to go through the dealer or email JetBeam directly? I believe it was bought through amazon but sold by Light Junction.

i recommended a friend the M1X, and after a few months the same thing happened to him. the light seems to be at about 40% bright for max setting, which is with head/bezel tightened. even when trying to program the user define setting, it would never get as bright as it used to.

we checked the switch, batteries, and contacts, but couldnt solve the problem. he wrote to his dealer, and they asked him to send it in.

sorry i couldnt be more of help, but your not alone with this problem.

since you only had the light for 2 weeks, and hopefully its still in LNIB condition, i would exhange it, if possible.

Well, the flashlight was bought from Longhorn Tactical. I called them up today and they said to ship it to them to be fixed or replaced. So I'll see what happens. Hopefully this problem won't happen again.
