I just bought a Brinkmann Maxfire LX at walmart. It takes 2 123 batteries (included). Now, here is the question... "what the hell did i just buy?" /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I tried an internet search for "Brinkmann Maxfire LX" and there were NO results. I searched Brinkmann's web site, but couldn't find anything even close to it.

It is a nice little light, but how many lumens does it put out? What type of lights should i compare it to?

Thanks guys, i really appreciate your help.

StainlessSteel...I've been "eye-ballin'" them at Wally World for the last month or so, and finally broke down and bought one last week. Although the specs aren't listed on the package, I'd estimate the output to be around 65 lumens or so, because it seems to put out about the same amount as my SF G2. It's output is comprible to most 2X123 cell xenon lights. It's body makes it very comprible to the SF G2. IMHO, it's a very good deal at $19.00!

WOW. the more i play with this thing... the more i LIKE IT. it is brighter than BOTH my 2D and 3D with everled m*gs. i HIGHLY recommend this for a cheapo light, either for your car or whatever. that 20 bucks also includes your first set of batteries as well.

oh yeah, the rubber "grip" that was on it is now off. i took it off intentionally, it makes it a lot smoother and easier to get out of my pocket in a hurry.

$19.00.....gee out here in Hawaii they run $22.95 and thats at Walmart too.

Good lights... got 2.....keep one in my truck, and the other one is to keep my friends away from my other lights when they ask to borrow one /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Now, I don't own the 2L Maxfire, but isn't it very, very similar to the non-focusable Legend LX but made out of plastic and a head only for good throw?

Comparing the rechargable Maxfire to my LX, the Maxfire has a tad more throw but probably less overall output.

I put a p61 bulb in mines, I had the older focusable legend xl. Its a nice little, cheap light.
