Hypothetical situation: You're stopped out in the middle of nowhere with a dead car battery, but you have some spare CR123's. What would happen if you attempted to start your car using 4 CR123's in series?

Battery Explosion?
Car starts?
Other?

Other, car would not start.
I don't think you would have to worry about any explosion, but your CR123's would go dead preat fast with that kind of load on them.

Hmmmmm..years ago when Polaroid came up with their flat 6 volt wafer battery, they did an experiment out in the parking lot..they used 2 of the wafer batteries in series, and jump started a secretary's dead car. There are a few companies who make a "car recharger" using 8 "D" cells in a tube that plugs into your cigarette lighter. I would imagine you could use 123's to do the same thing. I would imagine it would only work if the car started easily..ie: If the car had a starting problem to begin with, I don't think it would work.
