Just ordered some 2700mah "A" cells!

I'm going to put them in my ARC LS for an extra long run time, since I think the battery pack of the ARC LS is big enough (in inner diameter) to accomodate these batteries (17mm diameter). I can't wait till they come!

(if the battery pack isn't big enough...I'll MAKE it big enough...)
I have another application for these....and possibly the sub C cells (which are more popular): The Coleman mod. Simply grind away some of the aluminum on the inside and there's enough space to accomodate these "A" cells or the sub C cells!

The spec shows that it's happy with a discharge current of 4200mA! A few of this could easily power a 20W halogen.

Yes, and with two of these powering a luxeon....it will be very happy.

Too bad A cells are not as widely used as sub C cells....or there would be more advancements in A cells....still, this battery has some pretty good capacity.
