Newly Enlightened
Hi,
I'm interested in homebuilding a helmet mounted KL1 as a secondary light source for reading cue sheets, illuminating street signs etc, while cycling. My primary light(s) are 2 Lumotec 3-watt halogen driven by a SON hub generator. Right now I'm using a Lightwave Illuminator on the helmet which works pretty well but I've got the urge to tinker a bit.
Ideally, I'd like to power the KL1 with 3 CR123 batteries stashed in my jersey pocket. So I need some sort of "UBH" that can be wired to the KL1. The harder problem is figuring out a mount for the KL1 on the helmet.
Has anyone done something like this? Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Andy Brenner
