I recently managed to get hold of a vitalgear 3x123A body. But I'm not sure whether the 3 123A batteries (9 volts) will fry my KL1 and KL4 or not. Can these LEDs accept a 9volt input?

Agreed with yc... Well, the KL4 will take 9v, but it is not advisable, you'd shorten the lifespan of it, if you don't blow it outright... KL1 has no probs, I tried it with my McLux 3x123 body, its great and bright, nice runtime too!

Well, one thing to take note of...assuming you can use the KL4 on the Vitalgear body with 3 CR123s you would have a slight problem. Turning the light off may be very uncomfortable since the head would be very hot by then.

Thanks maverick, was always scared of trying it, figured I would blow it up... I took my KL-4 and put it on my e1e - for what is it a TW-4...love it, edc it, was just trying to figure out what to do with my KL-1, guess I'll put it on my L4
