elsewhen i asked was voltage the KL1 could run at, and knowing that
it would run on 1-2 CR123 batteries (3 and 6v), i was curious about 3
such batteries (9v) and was told: yes...

well, i'd like to confirm that? i saw the data sheet for a KL1, at
it pretty plainly specifies only using 1 or 2 CR123s. no mention
of 3 and no warning to not use 3.

hmmMMMmmm?

The KL1 is fine with 9v. I have one on my McLux 3x123

The reason why SureFire does not mention that the KL1 can be powered by three SF123As is because there is no SureFire body that houses three SF123As onto which you can screw the KL1.

Sorry to dig up such an old thread, but just to confirm, the KL1 will not be harmed by running it on 9 volts?
I'm this close to screwing mine to a 3x123 McLux body. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

lhz,

You're good to go. Don't fall asleep measuring the run time though........... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
