I want to buy an kl1.
Is it right that the brightness can be different from LS to LS in a very huge way. What if I get a really dim one. I ever thought that for this price I get what I expect to get.

A few beamshots of different ones will probably help to see possible differences.
Thanks.

The LSs can vary hugely but SureFire seems to be sorting them for best results in the KL1s.
I've had 3 and they were all almost identical in brightness with only a very little variance in color.

I wouldn't worry about it... great LED. You'll probably wish that you had gotten one sooner!

What about this? Notice the difference between the beam shapes and the colors of the 2 KL1's?

As I have read all over these forums, I agree and can attest from personal experience that the ARC-LS and the KL1 differs from example to example. I have an ARC-LS, (rev.1), and the KL1. The KL1 is slightly brighter and they are both "blue". However, they are both BRIGHT and work wonderfully for as small as they are. I have read on these forums some folks getting pure white examples but they are the exceptions. As far as consistency goes, ALL my LED lights are different and project different shades. If you do get a pure white light, consider yourself fortunate. However, don't expect pure white from the next exact example from the exact same retailer.
