KL5 on G2?

I'm eagerly awaiting the KL5 but I want to minimize weight any way I can. Would a G2 body make KL5 thermal management impossible?

Also, would an E2E body + Speck E/C adapter + KL5 be much hotter than the KL4 so too hot to hold unless the KL5 itself was massively heat sinked?

It would depend on how long you want to run the light. Based on pictures, the KL5 looks like it has good thermal mass which should absorb the heat from short runs. But that may be offset somewhat if Surefire drives it full spec. Only one way to find out. Go get one! (what did you expect I would say? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif)
