Knock offs?

If I made 100k a year, I'd buy the real deal. But I don't and so I buy cheap stuff. So far my cheap lights have been Great! Reasonably good quality and I have had ZERO problems with my DX lights. See the whole surefire lifetime warranty thing is funny. Sure they warranty it for lifetime, but in 2-3 years the emitter is obsolete. Sure you can upgrade it DIY style, but that will void the warranty...

Really? Since when has swapping lamp assemblies voided... oh.

I've been terribly lucky with Surefire's lifetime warranty, at the rate I wear out or otherwise destroy belt clips. I've also gotten a new E-series clicky and a couple combatlight grip rings.

Tangentally, can anyone point me at a knockoff 12p, other than Fivemega's 18mm bodies? Only one I know about is the Cabela's clone.

Clone is right.... Clone of a G&P light. Actually, it is a G&P model that has the Cabela's label on it.

You're better off with the Fivemega body.
